    Commitment Report Vol XXI

It’s been a week since my last commitment report, and while not much has taken place on the fiction front, I have been working really hard to expand my freelance career. Over the last couple days, I’ve picked up a temporary gig writing some content for one of the Daymix blogs and got accepted to Examiner.com as a Books Examiner. I’m hoping to have my first examiner column up before the end of the week and hope I can count on my friends, family and readers for support. I also just made a pitch for another blogging job, and will share the details once I have more to tell. Please wish me luck.

I have missed writing fiction this last week, but haven’t had as much time to devote to it as I would like. I do have an idea for a holiday short story I’m thinking of putting together, and have been anxious to get the next chapter in Running Down the Moon finished. I’ve got my flash stick with me, so tomorrow after work, I do plan to get some fiction writing done before we head back to the States. Unfortunately, once I get there, I’m not so sure how much writing I’ll get done, as before I left my computer was going through some issues. I’m planning to get a new computer mid-week, so YAY! I’m really looking forward to that.

I started to turn this blog into a bit about the period of introspection I’ve succumb to lately, but in the end decided that right now those thoughts are just for me. In due time, once I’ve had a chance to form and really wrap my mind around them in a way that makes them easier to share, perhaps I’ll blog about it. For now, however, I’m enjoying the solitude and the inspiration that continues to trickle into the silence.

I hope you’re all well and continuing to pursue and achieve the things you’ve committed yourself to do. More news to come soon. Until then, write on and may the muse be with you.
