    Commitment Report Vol XX

It’s Thanksgiving, and while I am not celebrating traditionally, seeing as Canadian Thanksgiving was in October, this year I have a lot to be thankful for. For the first time in many years, I know I am on the right path in my life. I’ve had a lot of my work accepted for publication this last year. I’ve been writing more than ever. I’ve gotten more of my writing out in the last few months than I did in all the years prior combined. I’ve made some fantastic new friends. My relationship with my daughter is stronger than ever. And, I’m sitting here today with the love of my life giggling about elf-selfs. Life is good.

Making commitments isn’t easy, and I think that sometimes the hardest commitments to keep are the ones we make to ourselves. That being said, despite the difficulty of the last year, it has also been one of the easiest years of my life. Everything has fallen into place just the way it should, and for that, I am thankful.

No matter what you’re doing today for Thanksgiving, I hope you stop and take a moment to reflect on all of your blessings, especially the ones you made happen in your own life because you made a commitment to yourself to live the best life possible. That’s all I have to say today. That, and thank you to the universe for bringing all of the things into my life that make me smile and feel loved each day.
